Age and football in Africa. It’s shocking why in Africa age cheating is the order of the day. Why can’t Africa use talented players in their correct age group? It’s no wonder some players who are in the actual sense 25 years claim to be 15 years and by the time they turn 25 years as they claimed to be, they are in fact 35 years. This is why some players can’t perform at the claimed age of 25. The issue of under seventeen players and the headline in the post newspaper dated 2nd October 2014 as follows:- Chiparamba Demands K90, 000 from Zanaco over use of player Paragraph 4 reads-Chiparamba stated that they paid for Dave Daka’s secondary school education fees from grade 10 to 12 at Olimpia Park secondary school from 2010 t0 2012. If Dave finished secondary school (was in grade 12) in 2012, how old was he? This is 2014 two years down the line. If Dave is 17 or under, for arguments sake, for arguments sake, let’s say, he is 17 years or 16 years in 2014, if we go back 2 years, Dave was 15 years or 14 years respectively. Are we therefore saying he was in grade 12 two years ago aged 14 or 15 and at what age was he in grade one? This MRI test should just not come in if everyone involved was honest starting from the parents, guardian, teachers, pastors friends of these players
