Ahh! Confession time...I totally blew it over the summer. I stopped lifting, and my cardio fell off to about 3 times a week at best...just trying to maintain. Let some processed carbs & sugars creep back in and well...got a little soft around the edges. Ive been pretty consistent for about two weeks, eliminating the bad stuff one step at a time again...just like when I first started before I lost 115 pounds. Let about 15 creep back on. Happy to say, my muscles have good memory and Im already starting to see progress. I remember when Kevin S., my first fitness/Zumba instructor asked me what it was like to be overweight my whole life...& he followed up with this question...so when your pants started to feel a little uncomfortable, what did you do?(he was genuinely trying to understand the overweight thought process as a fitness instructor)...I responded...rewarded myself with a shopping trip to buy bigger ones. And that was the cycle.... But not anymore. Im not who I once was. Ive learned how to put steps in place to get back where I feel comfortable in my own skin(and pants). Ive not hosted a new challenge group since last spring. If youre interested in being a part a free group to help you get back on track, inbox me. Well help each other. All I can promise is a daily post with tips & advice, a weekly accountability meeting(probably by google chat one evening), & private group access to ask questions, talk about the struggles, & talk about the triumphs. 21 days is all Im offering. That takes us to Thanksgiving morning. So...who needs to lose 10-15 pounds? We start tomorrow.
