Ajimobi Approves Mass Employment In Oyo By Daily Times Newspaper Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State, has ordered the mass recruitment of workers in all the 33 local government areas of the state. He also endorsed the employment of new teachers for both primary and secondary schools across the state. The governors decision was disclosed on Sunday at the All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders’ forum held in Oyo town by the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of Atiba Local Government, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi. Adeniyi said Governor Ajimobi was genuinely committed to the transformation of the state, especially ensuring the well- being of the people and enduring infrastructure development. “The state chief executive is irrevocably committed to grassroots democracy, which is all about dialogue and action. It is all about the people, their communities sharing the rewards and responsibilities of good government,’’ he said. Adeniyi stated that when he reminded the governor at the latest meeting with all the council caretaker chairmen in Ibadan about the stoppage of work by contractors on the dualisation of Owode/Isokun and Owode/Akesan roads in the ancient town, he ordered payment of full mobilisation for timely completion of the projects. He commended the governor for the re-construction of other township roads and bridges which had now been put into use . He further assured the large gathering that the dualisation of the two roads would be completed on or before October in readiness for commissioning by the governor in October. Impressed by the decision of Governor Ajimobi to complete and commission the roads under dualisation, the APC leaders brought the meeting to an end and mobilised members to jubilate over what they referred to as unprecedented gesture of a visionary and listening leader. Joined in the motorcade jubilation round major streets were commercial motorcyclists. The motorcade of the jubilating party leaders, who were joined by Okada riders, ended at the Alaafin’s palace, where they expressed their appreciation for the monarch’s support for the governor.
