Al-Tahrir News / Antiquités / Musée / #Egypt Le ministère des Antiquités récupère 950 artefacts au musée Mallawi de Minya ************* Minister of Antiquities Mamdouh Al-Damati announced the restoration of 950 artefacts which were stolen from Malawi Museum in Al-Minya governorate last year. The announcement came during the minister’s visit to the governorate on Thursday. During the visit, Al-Damati urged the re-positioning of Al Minya governorate on Egypt’s archaeological map, as it is considered the country’s third most prominent ancient site after Luxor and Aswan. The minister stated that Malawi museum will be re-opened on the governorate`s national holiday next March. Al-Minya governorate has witnessed several attempts to storm the archaeological sites, during violent incidents which occurred last year, after the dispersal of Muslim Brotherhood sit-ins in Cairo’s Nahda and Rabaa squares. tnnegypt/antiquities-ministry-retrieves-950-artefacts-minya/
