Alabama Senate Confirms Hon. S. Dagnal Rowe as Commissioner MONTGOMERY ALABAMA (January 22, 2014) Joseph P. Borg, Director, Alabama Securities Commission (ASC) announced that the Alabama Senate confirmed Commissioner Rowe for a four year term in a hearing today. Commissioner Rowe had received an interim appointment from Governor Bentley on August 19, 2013 to replace Commissioner Andrew P. Campbell whose term had expired. “ASC Commissioners have always been professionals with proven track records in their areas of expertise; but Commissioner Rowe has additionally distinguished himself with a successful tenure as a Commissioner from 2008 to 2012. The ASC Commissioners bring energy and talent to the table that will keep the Commission on its continued path as an agency nationally respected for its success in regulation of the securities industry in the state of Alabama,” said Borg. Hon. S. Dagnal Rowe, Attorney at Law, was initially recommended by his professional peers at the Alabama Bar Association. Rowe is a partner with Wilmer & Lee Law Firm in Huntsville, Alabama where he has practiced law for more than 40 years, specializing in corporate, business and banking law, bankruptcy law, trust, and estate law. Previously having been appointed by Governor Riley, Commissioner Rowe’s experience and knowledge helped continue the ASC’s stature as one of the nation’s leading securities regulatory agencies with its mission to protect the citizens of Alabama and promote capital formation in the State.
