Alex Update: Dad is taking food in liquid form for 1st time in a week. He is excited about that. He is getting more and more conversant. He had a good talk with Liz Steph and me today. Shaking hands and that. He even gave me a hard time about my medium size belly! LOL He had an ultrasound this morning to make sure there was no clot in his arm. All good it seems. We have had assessment done for mum to get care. This is looking real good, as especially Ian and his family need the pressure of caring taken away from them. Tomorrow Carolyn arranged for an alert necklace for mum that will send someone out if needed. I had to spend the night theree last night. Had a weeks of caffine fixes in one night. Got home & semi-comotised for a few hours. Mum even accepted respite care for short terms if we are unavailable! (hope she remembers). She said as long as she can have a smoke. Dads progress is slow but forward which is better than we were led to believe, so that is great. Anyone who wants to visit it should be OK now. He is in ICU Nepean Hospital.
