All Ayla Staff and Ayla Cadets; January 10, 2015. This is to inform you that a Diamond DA42 had a gear-up landing at 12:30 pm local time at King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba. Pilot Fares Kamhawi and Student Mohammed Essabri are both safe, with no injuries whatsoever. The aircraft is being inspected and a full investigation will take place with the assistance of the Ayla Maintenance Team, the Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, and the Aircraft Manufacturer. Although unwanted and unwelcomed, these things do happen, and we commend the instructor and the student for the professionalism in which they handled the situation.
