All day long I have thought of the concept of how two people can - TopicsExpress

All day long I have thought of the concept of how two people can see things completely differently.....one sees a pebble and one sees a boulder...... The Boulder and the Pebble Driving down a steep mountain road, the driver suddenly slammed on the brakes and skidded to a stop! Stunned by the dramatic turn of events, the passenger anxiously asked him why he had stopped so suddenly. The driver replied: “Why, don’t you see that boulder?” “What boulder? Are you talking about that little tiny pebble in the roadway?” replied the passenger. “What’s the matter with you? That’s a boulder!” said the driver. At this point the passenger got out of the car, went over to the pebble, and kicked it out of the way. As he got back into his seat, he looked at the flabbergasted driver, who exclaimed: “I can’t believe it; it really was a pebble!” The driver then stepped on the gas and drove on. One sees a problem and the problem seems to grow and it will continue to magnify the difficulties involved in working it out. Soon that person will see a giant boulder. They run into a minor misunderstanding in the course of solving a problem and imagine it to be of major importance. The problem seems to grow....while another person looks at the problem....maybe they see it from another perspective in life...I dont even know..... but the problem doesnt consume them or scare them...And all they see is a pebble... how many times do we fight over something so huge to one person and small and insignificant to another.....how many arguments....wars....and feuds have been over some problem that seems completely insurmountable by one side and something totally insignificant by another. Maybe we all should try to move from our current..... position and try to see things from a totaly different direction....maybe many things would simply get kicked out from the path blocking us from progress....on my mind all day.
