All of my book archive, some 20 agate and jasper books are on - TopicsExpress

All of my book archive, some 20 agate and jasper books are on Alibris, a major book retailer. They are linked to Barnes and Noble, which I have signed up for. The pricing is the same as they are at donaldkasper. I have a block of 20 book ISBN identifier numbers, all used for that set of books, so the book bundles for discounts are only at donaldkasper. This online set includes the Robert Paul Colburn classic book on thundereggs, and his 4 part autobiography of mining stories of his life. The largest compilation of geode/thunderegg structures ever compiled by Peter Woerner is also available. My agate book series volumes I through V are online. These are all full color, laser printed, 8.5 x 11 books on gloss paper, spiral bound. This is the most comprehensive set of books on the genesis of agates and jaspers, and largest study of regional agates against my master models of their formation, that have ever been written. These are not books that babble that agates are just varietal quartz, because they are not. They are calcite-clay-silica-hydrate rocks. There are almost 20 polymorphs of quartz that form agates. Moganite makes ellipsoidal structures, for example, and as such, is not an agate precursor. It is a silica polymorph in what I call the agate group of silica minerals. The books do not babble about agates formed by weathering, as they never form that way. They form in specific, alkaline geochemical systems documented in these books. They never form in playa lakes, no matter how many papers of that gibberish Dr. Peter Heaney writes proposing that. To know how agates form, you must get out of your desk, and go collect for yourself, something that is not typically done by an author on agates. And if they do, they dont ever study the geologic systems they form in. These books cover that set of geologic systems, over 60 in all. There is no such thing as one geologic model of agate formation, but they are all related by a common set of geochemical conditions.
