Fracking is worse than regular drilling because a lot of "fugitive methane" escapes through t he newly opened cracks in the rock. And methane is something like 40 times more "greenhousy" than simple CO2. So, tax it accordingly, and it will go away. And everyone will have an incentive to invest in NON-carbon energy sources (NOT nukes, which are even worse). Very simple. Let the market work. Raise revenue, lower taxes for everyone else. And stop the climate calamity which CO is experiencing, now.
