All of us in MSF are concerned about our colleague who has recently been tested positive with Ebola. Our thoughts are with her, with her loved ones and with her team in the field. We wish her strength and really hope she will recover soon. This is a cruel reminder of a tough reality: despite our best efforts to try and protect our staff from getting the disease through implementing strict safety measures in the workplace, our colleagues fighting the Ebola epidemic are not spared the risk of infection. Already seven of our national colleagues have become ill, and four of them survived. I cannot but commend the courage and dedication of all our teams to our patients.
