***All of us will agree that this picture is unacceptable. Each one of our community members, who sent in a Save Our River song, are valued by me personally, for your talents and your time, in regards to this urgent matter. After seeing this aspect of our event on the news, I can say the response is more than we couldve wished for, and we hope that this event brings a greater sense of awareness to our cause, and also leaves everyone with a good feeling. As I gratefully state, in regards to nonprofit event planning, (always with a zero budget) community is the new currency. All donations of time, goods, talents and services are appreciated. The list goes on and on: Items or services for the raffle event, providing entertainment blessings for the day, providing studio time to record the awareness song, gifting our winning contestant with a fun prize, offering up valuable time, the use of a really cool venue at no charge, a larger-scale company providing water for the beach cleanup volunteers, our song contestant judges and their cash donations directly to splash program, equipment usage at no charge, the many hundreds of hours that Alisa and I have dedicated to this event... (and lets not forget our over 125 attendees on our beach clean-up team Facebook page) We all created this together, without asking anything in return at all, except knowing that we brought the community together, for a couple really important causes. And I thank you.
