All right Fleet 1 Race Fans it’s time for more Great Lakes J111 One Design racing! Capping off a fun filled summer of racing we find ourselves on the eve of the Chicago Yacht Club Verve Cup the three day throw down in August where teams have had a summer of time on the water and are up to speed. We have eight J111’s lining up this weekend, you will notice the usual suspects as well as Velocity, who delayed her return to MD after the NA’s, and making her Chicago W/L regatta debut Skull Cracker from MO who will be stationed in Chicago despite her out of state address. Wooton Kashmir Impulse Skull Cracker Rowdy Velocity Night Hawk Lucky Dubie One of the biggest things that the crews have to wary of this weekend is the dreaded, or awesome depending on how you feel about it, Verve Swerve that has befallen many a crew mid regatta without knowing until it’s too late.
