All the LAWS : Torah , Commandments , Statutes & Judgements , Moral and Ceremonial , Spoken , and Jewish Oral Law : How we are confusing them. There is so much misunderstanding of the Law. We have over the centuaries created terminology that did not exist in Jesus of the Apostles days. They understood the Law and the Prophets - the Torah. That Law consisted of the the 10 Commandments (Written by Gods own finger) and the Statutes and Judgements given to explain them more fully. These were all given to Isreal on Mount Horeb. The commands for the sacrifices and offerings were given about 2 months later. Now what has come into our understanding that has confused us so much. Well , people talk about the Moral and Ceremonial Law . These terms do not exsist in the Bible. The concept of the Moral and Ceremonial Law came from a Roman Chatholic Priest called Thomas Aquinas in 1290 . He used the concept to proved that the Sabbath was Ceremonial and done away with. This argument was the reason I believe that Martin Luther never saw the Sabbath truth. Even today , most Theology students are taught the history and teachings of Thomas Aquinas. There is another Law as well - the Oral Law - a tradition passed on through generations of Jewish Priests. This Law was supposedly given to Moses by GOD and never written down. This is the law that Jesus spoke so many times against. The law made by man. But Satan is crafty : On Mount Horeb - GOD wrote the headings of the LAW on stone - and dictated the rest to Moses who wrote these direct commandments in a book. We confuse the traditional Jewish oral law , with the LAW given ORALLY by GOD. Therefore the LAW of Moses writen in a book is believed to be done away with. But look at this very chilling statement by Mrs White about the spoken LAW of GOD ( The Torah) ( Please read whole page (761-763) :Another deception was now to be brought forward. Satan declared that mercy destroyed justice, that the death of Christ abrogated the Fathers law. Had it been possible for the law to be changed or abrogated, then Christ need not have died. But to abrogate the law would 763 be to immortalize transgression, and place the world under Satans control. It was because the law was changeless, because man could be saved only through obedience to its precepts, that Jesus was lifted up on the cross. Yet the very means by which Christ established the law Satan represented as destroying it. Here will come the last conflict of the great controversy between Christ and Satan. {DA 762.5} That the law which was spoken by Gods own voice is faulty, that some specification has been set aside, is the claim which Satan now puts forward. It is the last great deception that he will bring upon the world. He needs not to assail the whole law; if he can lead men to disregard one precept, his purpose is gained. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. James 2:10. By consenting to break one precept, men are brought under Satans power. By substituting human law for Gods law, Satan will seek to control the world. This work is foretold in prophecy. Of the great apostate power which is the representative of Satan, it is declared, He shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand. Daniel 7:25. {DA 763.1} Men will surely set up their laws to counterwork the laws of God. They will seek to compel the consciences of others, and in their zeal to enforce these laws they will oppress their fellow men. {DA 763.2} The warfare against Gods law, which was begun in heaven, will be continued until the end of time. Every man will be tested. Obedience or disobedience is the question to be decided by the whole world.
