All this month there have been so many people stating the things that they are thankful for on their posts. First and foremost, I am thankful to God that He is my God, my loving Father who has given me life and protected me through so many things. By all rights, were it not for God our Father, I would not be here today for there have been so many situations in my life that I WAS NOT and SHOULD HAVE survived. I am a walking, talking miracle and I owe it all To God our Father and His Son Jesus Christ without whom none of us would have any hope. Further, I am thankful to Him because of the wonderful woman He has brought into my life. Alyne is so perfect to and for me, she is the type of woman spoken of in Proverbs 31. For those of you who know my reference, you know what that means. Next, I am thankful for Alyne, she has been such an inspiration to me. For me there is none better. Could be no one better. I am thankful for my mother and stepfather, they have been so very good to us. I recognize my stepfather as such for clarification but, he has been just like the song says, he has been the father that he did not have to be, I love them both. I am thankful for the extended family that I now have through Alyne, her aunts and Uncles have received me with open hearts and arms and have made me feel somuch a part of the family, as though they have always been there throughout my life. Women with strength that can not be properly described and unbelievably constant. Uncles that are some of the greatest men anyone could ever have the pleasure of knowing. They are men of their word and that speak their mind. You always know where you stand with them, men anyone could be thankful to know and learn from. These are the types of people in her family and they have been so welcoming and I admire the way they look out for ALyne. I am thankful for all the friends that I have come to know here, so many people that are people of strength and character that I used to only read about in books. I am thankful for my Church family, the most caring and understanding people with some of the strongest faiths I have ever known. Of special note , to me, among them Jon and Charles, those who know you know of whom I speak. I am very thankful for these two men, because the love of God and the peace of God within them is something that can not be described, it can only be experienced to know. That is just how powerful it is, at least to me. These are the things that I am thankful for. The things in life, be it a house or a car or food, those are nice things to have but, These people are what I am thankful more than anything because they can not be replaced where things and food can be.
