Allaah Exists Without a Place The Messenger of Allāh said: كان الله ولم يَكُنْ شَىءٌ غَيْرُهُ which means: “Allāh existed eternally and nothing else existed.” (Related by Al-Bukhariyy, al-Bayhaqiyy and Ibnul-Jarud.) ➥This indicates that eternally nothing existed other than Allaah; ►no time ►no place ►no water ►no light ►no darkness ►no Sun ►no humans ►no Moon ►no sky ►no earth ►no animals ►no ngels ►no Jinn ►no devils Nothing existed. All of these came into existence. Allaah created them; Allaah gave them their existence. After creating them Allaah does not change. Allaah exists without a place. Al-Bayhaqiyy said: Some of our companions used, as a proof to refute attributing the place to Allaah, the saying of the Prophet: أنتَ الظاهرُ فليسَ فوقكَ شيء وأنتَ الباطنُ فليسَ دونكَ شيء which means,“You are ađħ-Đħāhir (the One whose existence is obvious) and there is nothing above You, and You are al-BāTin (the One Who cannot be reached by delusions) and there is nothing below You.” (Sahih Muslim) Therefore, if there is nothing above Him and nothing underneath Him, He is not in a place.” Imam Abu Mansur al-Baghdadiyy related in his book, Al-Farqu Baynal-Firaq, that Imam ^Aliyy, the fourth of the caliphs, may Allaah reward his deeds, said: “كان الله ولا مكان، وهو الآن على ما عليه كان” which means: “Before creating the place, Allaah existed without a place, and after He created the place, Allaah exists without a place.” Imam Abu Mansur Al-Baghdadiyy also mentioned in his book Al-Farq Baynal Firaq, the consensus (ijma^) of the Muslim scholars that Allaah Exists Without a Place.
