Allen Ray Rhoades, Sr., 68, of Stevenson, AL, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013. He had lived most of his life in the Cleveland, Tennessee area and was a member of Covenant Promise Church in Cleveland. He was previously employed with McKee Bakery and Collegedale Case Works. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed & Elsie Rhoades; wife, Annette Magdalene Rhoades and brother, John Rhoades. Survivors include his two children, Allen Ray & (Staci) Rhoades, Jr. of Stevenson, AL and Patricia Rogers of East Ridge, TN; four sisters, Della Jackson of Ooltewah, TN, Judy Mayrose of Georgetown, TN, Sandy Reed of Ohio and Emma Holt of Hixson, TN; three brother, James Rhoades and Doug Rhoades both of Georgetown, TN and Jeff Rhoades of Apison, TN; 5 grandchildren, Jeremy Rich, Jared Rhoades, Caleb Rhoades, Keegan Rogers and Sheeanne Rogers; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday, October 9, 2013 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Ken Ellidge officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakewood East Memory Gardens. The family will begin receiving friends after 12 Noon Tuesday and prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home-Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
