, Allen Thompson Shannon E. French Rupert Read In my group at Sustainable Cleveland, we are coming up with a proposal for a youth Council of Tomorrow. The city Council of Tomorrow is built out of ward Councils of Tomorrow and the latter are linked, Peter Whitehouse, to a Quarter of Elders, senior citizens, who act as mentors. Each ward council also works with the council person of the ward. The function of the ward council is to gather and relay in each direction (to the mayor and city council and from them) and the function of the city level council is to report in and out as well as voice views to city council and the mayors office. Maurice Philpott, a frosh at MC Squared High came up with the concept riffing off of Stephen Stephen Gardiners call for a global constitution and Rupert J Reads Guardians of the Future proposal which I relayed. Melanie Knowles of Kent State and Valerie Walker of Planet Aid conceptualized. We will see whether the project has traction in the city of Cleveland.
