Almost forgot! We saw the specialist in Albany today. He was still vague on some things, but definitely had more experience. Roger is healing well, and though he will still be on all his meds for at least 3 more months, the prognosis looks good. He wont ever be going back to lifting the extreme weights on the job, but he has hope for less pain and more good days as time goes on. They are trying some new meds for his pain, and will do imaging again in 3 months. No one can promise no future stroke or recurrent dissection, but he is on all the right meds and healthy lifestyle changes to give him the best chance. Roger left the office surprised at the optimism, and then very hopeful for the future.
