Aloha!! New greeting! Things are looking up in the fire department. The two fires I saw on Black Butte seem to be all but over. Yea. Someone else told me there were four fires on Black Butte. If so, they are all but over also. The other fires that are a part of the 12 on the district program are smaller and are either under control or going to be under control. The fire on the horn is in very steep, rocky, slightly pucker brush terrain. It is now named the Castle Fire because of the rock formations and that area is named castle rock. There is talk of a big burn out in that area that would burn back to where the Bridge 99 fire was. That move would be to get the fuels reduced at a time where it wouldnt either get out of control or hurt anything. We are not out of the woods yet however. There is a red warning for lightning over this area all night and into tomorrow. It is overcast now and warm. It has rained minor amounts today a couple different times. If there is another epic lightening storm tonight I plan to take it in. Ill find out the situation report tomorrow AM and let you know. Have a good evening.
