Aloha! Today is Thursday, November 13, 2014. Hey...I need a big favor...my friend, Sandra Maki is really having some hard times dealing with the loss of a loved one...could you say some prayers for her? Shes a great lady with a huge heart and could really use it...thank you!! It was today, back in 1927, that the Holland Tunnel opened to traffic and would become the first tunnel linking New York to New Jersey. I have two friends with birthdays...John Kingston and Shane Ketola...Happy Birthday to BOTH of you!!! Sharing this slippery roads day with them are: The Scottish author/poet of such classics as Treasure Island and Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Robert Louis Stevenson(1850 d.1894), the creator of such great TV shows as Happy Days and The Odd Couple, Garry Marshall(1934), legendary NHL player/coach, Gilbert Perreault(1950), this actress/comedian has been in such monumental flicks as The Color Purple, Ghost and Jumpin Jack Flash, as well as being one of the hosts of the morning show, The View...Whoopi Goldberg(1955) an-nnnd..edian/talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel was born this day, back in 1967. We bid farewell to some unique figures as well...like crazy crack-smokin rapper, Ol Dirty Bastard, in 2004...and pro wrestler, Eddie Guerrero, in 2005...rest in peace. Its the National Day of Mourning in Germany...and I gotta get back at it so...have a great day, ALL ;)
