Aloha family and friends. Once again so much appreciation for the donations and kinds words for our friend Karl Zartler and his family during this fight with Liposarcoma... What is Liposarcoma? It is a malignant tumor that arises in the fats cells in deep soft tissue. They are bulky tumors which tend to have multiple smaller satelites extending beyond the main confines of the tumor.... This is an agressive cancer that spreads quickly, in Karls case, spots on the lungs. This fight has begun with the first phase of surgery and base healing of the wound (to be grafted in maybe 6 months).. This week starts radiation and direct to the wound, yep, that sucks... This is a very humbling reality to watch your friends go through... To watch anyone go through.
