Alright Courtney Carter Chavis I will take your challenge. :) Here are 10 things that people may not know about me. 1. As a result of being born with a facial birth defect, I have had over 20 surgeries and no having a surgery has never gotten easier for me. 2. Growing up I was bullied before bullying was considered a major issue in school. 3. I love sports especially football. Growing up I would play tackle football with the boys in the neighborhood but my mom would not let me play little league flag football. 4. I have met Cher twice. The first time was at Market Square just two days after getting out of the hospital. At the time my jaw was wired shut so I needed a straw to drink/eat. I asked Chers assistant backstage for a straw and she discovered that there was not a single straw in the entire building so she got one from Chers tour bus. 5. I have had a chronic headache for the last 22 years. It started freshman year of high school. 6. After never running before, I spent this past summer training for and then running/walking in my first half marathon in San Francisco in October at the Nike Womens Marathon! 7. I was told in high school by a guidance counselor of all things, that since I had issues with regular attendance because of the chronic headache that I would never be able to get through college. Well I not only have a college degree but I also have my masters. So there! 8. In college I had a job where I got paid watching sports! :) 9. I once argued with IndyStars Phillip B. Wilson in front of the entire Colts team at training camp. I admit I spoke so loud that I got the attention of at least half of the team. 10. I am blessed to say that I was holding my moms hand when she took her last breathe after a nearly four year battle with cancer.
