Alright. Ive gotten near the bottom of this. Here is a map of whats in the city limits oddly enough, Ahahswinis appears to be in the city but is zoned otherwise. (Perhaps Crown, but I know it is zoned as electoral ares E in the Beaver Creek as part of the ACRD). Further more, we have city roads and a hwy running straight through our reserve (Ahahswinis). We dont pay property tax BUT do pay for city services (water, sewage, fire). Im saying all this because I think its unfair that I dont get to vote in the municipal election because I live on the reserve . I hope to be able to next election. Why? Because why not?! Im a part of this community too and would like to support those who have rue same values as me by voting for them in the election.
