Also born in 1944, Taffy Nivert Danoff, one-fourth of the Starland Vocal Band. So as the story goes Nivert was discovered by a bartender having heard her singing to a song on a jukebox. Asked if she wanted to join a vocal group it was through this she met her future husband Bill Danoff. The Danoffs were married in 1972. The two soon paired with Jon Carroll and Margot Kunkel to round out the Starland Vocal Band. Having knowing John Denver & collaborating (Bill & Taffy) with him to write his 1971 mega hit Take Me Home, Country Roads, SVB signed to his label & had a huge hit with this July 1976 No. 1 hit Afternoon Delight...youtu.be/2NUkhMq_iRo
