Alternative media upstages mainstream media in coverage of historic Bundy Ranch showdown.. This is another of example of how social networking and alternative media are important. Mainstream media were ordered to ignore the story - and they complied. Meanwhile, alternative media - citizen journalists - made history by broadcasting live video from the ranch, posting video updates every few hours and conducted research that uncovered the real story.. The lesson here is, be your own media, because mainstream media is told what they can do and when they can do it. I know, more often than not that todays mainstream media is getting a lot of their breaking stories and ideas from alternative media/social networks, via people who are sharing first hand and reporting from the front line. But when mainstream ignores the story, its up to the people themselves, to tell the truth!!
