Although Radionomy (who hosts our station) has a huge music - TopicsExpress

Although Radionomy (who hosts our station) has a huge music collection, it could use a serious infusion of good Country music. Their new stuff is pretty good, but their old? Fair, but an old DJ like me could improve their collection dramatically. We have a couple of choices here. 1) Do a Crowdfunder to raise the money, and/or 2) have members here get CD donations from outside sources. It cant be MP3s or the like -- we can buy MP3s, but according to the Supreme Court, they arent transferable. While I do have access to a turntable, Id really rather have CDs or buy new MP3s. Either way, it will be converted to MP3s for the station. The real problem comes down to the fact that all music owned by the station must have proof of purchase, or at least be able to show them actual CDs, Albums, or Tapes if they ask for it. So long as we have purchased them (or can prove we own it), we can use it on the station, since Radionomy takes care of the royalties for on-air broadcast. We have no need to get what Radionomy already has. Most of their collection is relatively new, and they try to keep that updated. Its the older stuff Im after, mostly 90s and before. Believe me, thats a LOT of music were talking about. We need about 1,000 decent songs, so we can do voice-overs on the station mixed with our music plus theirs. If you have any ideas how we can pull this off, PLEASE let me know. Thanks...
