Although our celebration is Sunday, the actual first service of Refuge Temple Church was held on Sunday, November 19, 1995 at our first location at 127 Markham Street in Burlington, NC. In attendance were 4 people--the late Minister Melvin Hansard, the late Mother Hazeline Davis, Mother Evelyn Pope-Marshall and me. Since that day, Jesus Christ has blessed us to grow into one of the largest Pentecostal/Apostolic churches in Burlington. The subject of the first message the Lord allowed me to preach was The Lord Will Finish What He Started. He is doing just that. I am grateful to the Lord for my wife, children, charter members and EVERY member (past and present) that the Lord has allowed RTC to serve. Thank you for what you have sown into the progress of this ministry. Thank you for being a part of our history and destiny. To God Be the Glory.
