Am I Really Saved I want to point to a few verses of scripture as we look at this question. I’m going to try and go step by step. When we look at Matthew 7:22 Many will say Lord, Lord, have we not… Acts 19:02 Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believe… The bible further declares That the wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way, But the folly of fools is deceit… there is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. Prov 14:8,12 When I look at Matthew 7 I see Acts 19 also and many other scriptures like them where people assumed or believed one thing when actually another reality was in play. Jesus Christ never leaves himself without a witness and at no time does the word of God contradict itself. Salvation is a God process 1. Romans 10:14a How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed… He that cometh to God must first believe that He is… This is the first step to an eternal relationship with God. But don’t stop there! 2. Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent… to repent means “to change your mind; reconsider; or, to think differently.” Romans 12:2 tell us to be made over with a brand new mind. This is the next step to an eternal relationship with God. But don’t stop there! 3. Mark 16:16a He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved… Baptism in Jesus Name Remits sin. And without shedding of blood is no remission Heb 9:22b. The waters of baptism wash away our sins. Jesus is the only saving name in scripture. Acts 4:12; Col 3:17 This is NECESSARY for salvation because there can be no sin in heaven. This is the next step to an eternal relationship with God. But don’t stop there! 4. Acts 2:4b and began to speak with other tongues, as the spirit give the utterance. You must receive the infilling of the Holy Ghost. Romans 8:9b Now if any man have not the spirit of Christ, he is none of his. How do you know you have it? Acts 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God, This is the next step to an eternal relationship with God. But don’t stop there! 5. 1 Peter 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; You have to live a holy life before God and you can’t do that without the Holy Ghost. Heb 12:14 and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Im Glad im saved according to the word of God and not my opinion, tradition or thoughts
