SEED OF THE WEEK (SOW) “What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see” Hebrew 11:1 (NLT). WHAT DO YOU SEE? It was the Lord God who asked Prophet Jeremiah this pointed question on the day he was to be called into the ministry in Jeremiah 1:4-12. Initially when the Lord told him about the call upon his life and the places he would love to send him, he gave excuses about being too young. He saw in himself a measure of incapacitation, limitation and inadequacy which of course is the reality. But after being rebuked by God and the word of God was deposited in him, something changed on the inside of him which invariably affected his confession. He started to see through the knowledge of the word of God and his faith was strengthened. WHAT DO YOU SEE? Do you see limitation, inadequacy or incapacitation? What do you confess on a daily basis about your business, your children, and your marriage? What is your confession about the mandate of God for your life? What is your responsiveness to the responsibilities assigned to you in your church? Do you see the reality of your situation or the practicality of GOD’S word? Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Heb 11:6). The man at the pool of Bethesda was seeing the reality of his situation and he kept confessing that there was nobody to help him. He was there for precious 38 years because WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET! With the heart, man believes unto righteousness, but with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. Whatever your eyes see, the heart receives and that is what your mouth will confess. If you see possibilities, you will eventually have possibility. If you see promotion, you will eventually be promoted. If you see higher ground, your feet surely will be planted on higher ground. As you go in this new week, I ask you again, WHAT DO YOU SEE?
