Am only an infrequent visitor to this page, partly because I felt quite attacked and brutalized several times--I can handle and take care of myself quite well in the verbal and linguistic realm but after a certain point decided it wasnt worth the bother or the grief, and that a lot of the intentions of a lot of the people commenting were simply not well-intended, and were way over the pale in terms of civil communication, or so it sure seemed to me, sadly. Would just like to say that personally I am very appreciative and admiring of and even inspired by Frans administrative work. As far as I know it is not a paid position, nor one that gets rewarded a bunch of gold stars or anything. And yet in my view Fran performs the probably not all that terribly pleasant tasks that an administrator must engage in, as well as the criticisms she must deal with, with great diplomacy and graciousness, to the degree that I find it humbling and quite instructive. I am very appreciative of the work she does and how she does it, and I feel that she performs a considerable service for all the members of this page and for the work. Thats my two cents. So, thank you Fran.
