Amazon has, in fact, launched Kindle unlimited, the subscription service for books on kindle. For those with books in the kindle store, if youre book is enrolled in unlimited and someone reads 10% or more of your book, you get a chunk of the select global fund, which previously only paid out to books in the lending library. Presumably this opens up a revenue stream to non-prime users and people who use kindle apps on their phones and tablets instead of an actual kindle. I still think 10 bucks a month is a bit high for this service, but what the heck do I know.
