Amen Night Topic: Fear not! The bible has warned us that fear shouldnt be our portion:Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and praise (Isiaiah 41:10 Amp). Fear is a deadly desease, and it is pricked up by doubt.Those who trust in God are like mount Zion which cannot be moved but abides and stand forever (Psalm 125:1). Fear makes people fret and become unstable. If we earnestly trust the Lord in our walk of life, we shall stay away from fear and dismay. God demands us to be fearless (Acts 18:10). Fear is like a thief, it sneak into our heart and steal joy, peace and security and leave us nervous as well as in bondage. God never says;Ill remove fear from your heart, it is not Gods duty to do that, but our obligation. How? Simple by engaging in the study of Gods word that builds us (Acts 20:32), and gives us faith (Rom 10:17). Where there is faith, fear flee. God said to Joshua,Be strong (confident) and of good courage... (Joshua 1:6). You see, God demanded from Joshua courage, He never said,Ill give you courage. He knows His words removes fear, so He strengthens us by giving us His word to lean against and fear will know its way. Cling to the word, the higher life and escape fear which torments (1John 4:18).
