America used to be better because it was primarily a moral and just nation (not to the Natives). Americans used to hold their government to a higher standard and had inherent trust and patriotism. However, when the legitimacy and trustworthiness towards government declines below 50%, that government will not survive. The behemoth Federal government desperately needs a new false flag to rally the patriotism back towards themselves. I hope they dont succeed. Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel.
