Amo ine an nahibaruan ko kanina when i attended the presentation of the PROPOSED Tacloban Recovery and Rehab Plan that was made in coordination with the UN-Habitat. Tacloban will be divided into 4 areas: 1.) North coast (northern barangays area) -- new employment and residential area; light manufacturing and agribusiness -- fish port, shipping port (in coop with Babatngon); new water source 2.) Mid (area near SanJuanico bridge) -- Transit and trading area, satellite govt center 3.) South (city center and southwards) -- tourist - oriented commercial and historic district; redevelopment with urban expansion in lower risk inland area 4) Upland -- conservation and protection area Construction of the Tacloban International Airport Construction of a causeway from the airport to Tac main area Development of Calvary Hill as a park and evacuation area Development of an esplanade along the Magsaysay Blvd area Construction of new roads northwards, widening of the Maharlika highway Reconstruction of the City Hall and damaged schools Planting of mangroves along the coastline from Payapay to Tagpuro UP Tac will be transferred to Brgy. Sta. Elena EVRMC will be in Cabalawan Health districts to be constructed in V &G, San Jose, Sagkahan.
