An Evening of Enchantment, benefiting Windsors only emergency shelter for women, was a huge success. Thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting the Welcome Centre Shelter for Women. We had a sold out event and with the support of our generous cash sponsors who helped us put this elegant evening together our communitys only emergency shelter for homeless women will receive a substantial infusion of much needed funds!! A preliminary calculation shows that we netted over $10,000 for the shelter!!! Kudos to all but I must extend a few special acknowledgements. My deepest gratitude goes to the talented, versatile and creative committee who worked harder than anyone could imagine putting this all together and they came through in spades! Snez Koutras, Michele Matic, Britt Hoffman, Carly Erber, Giselle Lavasseur, Olivia Gurun, Carolyn Mascarin, Jessaline Fynbo, and staff at the Welcome Centre. You are all extraordinary women who care deeply for our cause.This event would not have been possible without the creative force of SO many amazing women. A special hats off to Snez Koutras-- this event was your idea and you are simply extraordinary and poured your heart and soul into this evenings success I am so privileged to have you in my life! Special thanks must go out to the enormously talented Olivia Gurun for putting on a spectacular fashion show which captivated and wowed the crowd. Thanks to everyone at Salon Guru. So grateful to Carolyn Mascarin and Barb Stewart who are amazing independent hair stylists who took the day off in order to make our models look stunning. Thanks to Geena Johalnaicker for doing our models make up....fabulous job! You all worked so hard! Thanks to our beautiful models, generous boutiques and prize donors. Big thanks to Sal Albano who generously provided our stage...you rock! Thanks also to the creative genius of Helena Ventrella who made the place look amazing. Ryan and the staff at per Bacco did a fabulous job. The food and service was excellent!!! Walter Riggi is amazing too. On very short notice he edited our video and helped us to showcase the miraculous transformation that takes place in the lives of women who turn to the shelter for help. Finally, thanks to Anna Cabrera, our celebrity EMCEE for the evening and a big thank you to all of the volunteers who worked so hard upstairs and downstairs selling raffle tickets and helping with our silent auction. Special thanks to Carol Dray who worked the door and warmly greeted each and everyone of our patrons. You are the best!
