An INCREDIBLE day for our Extremadura birding group tinyurl/2u9sn5f who spent the day in Monfrague National Park. Raptors included Spanish Imperial Eagles, 100s of Griffon Vultures, Black Vultures, Egyptian Vulture, Short-toed Eagles, Booted Eagles, numerous Lesser Kestrelz and Peregrine. Other goodies included White-rumped Swift, Alpine Swift, Black Storks, Black Wheatear, Subalpine and Dartford Warblers, singing Western Orphean Warblers, Golden Orioles, Iberian Grey and Woodchat Shrikes, Rock Sparrows, Bee-eaters and Blue Rock Thrush. This evening the group heard calling Scops Owl and Red-necked Nightjar. What a day!
