An amateur video a friend recorded whiles we were on field work in a District. These pupils have being playing close to two (2) hours since we got to the community (village). My curiosity led me to enquire from the teachers why these pupils were on break so early. The teachers told us it was not yet break period but since there was nothing serious to do, they had to allow the children to play. Then I asked: ...you mean there is nothing serious to teach these kids? ...but its just eight twenty-seven AM (8:27 AM)?... Hmmm...No sense of seriousness from the teachers as they were seen chatting. Basic education in some part of rural Ghana is really an issue we have to address collectively. Its pathetic and nothing to write home about. Some District Education Offices really do not work. Simpliciter!!! #NorthernRegion
