An anonymous parent writes: Can a public online school legally or optionally restrict a student from gifted placement and/or grade advancement at any time or reason if: they have taken placement tests proving advanced ability at the online school, they have documented gifted placement at their brick and mortar school, they have documented standardized test scores in the 99th percentile at their brick and mortar school, they had a good report card 1st semester AND educational testing showing intelligence and ability in the highly superior range? The online school says no gifted or acceleration mid year. They originally said yes to gifted. I believe they are discriminating against my child who has an IEP due ADHD.
