An author talks about why he thinks multi-author box sets are a bad idea. I take his point but overall see it as a good thing not just for readers, but authors. It allows authors to cross-promote fan bases and get exposed to new readers. I wouldnt do it for every book I write, but for older self-published works, or the first in a series, why not? And even though the income isnt great because its split, you see much bigger volume, and its better than giving away that first series book. So overall, multi-author box sets get my thumbs up.
