An inconspicuous sea moss animal has spread rapidly in Antarctica, say scientists. The warmer temperatures have helped Fenestrulina rugula to thrive at the expense of other species. The lack of those other species will almost certainly affect larger species further up the food chain and put them at risk. Growing human population continues to increase total carbon footprint which is warming the globe and causing many many unpredicted events such as this one.
