...... An insatiable quest for knowledge and ALL truth as you - TopicsExpress

...... An insatiable quest for knowledge and ALL truth as you state can be a very dangerous thing when we untether ourselves from the counsel of many anointed voices in our lives. The perception of the dualism of the Godhead is no new invention. In fact, the same perception of Jesus CHRIST as the Son of God, and God the Father in CHRIST yet being two separate was prevalent in the days Jesus walked on the earth prior to the cross. Philip’s voice echo’s this conflict through the ages of time when he spoke to Jesus the CHRIST and said “Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.” It was this same Jesus the CHRIST who replied to Philip and said “”Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hat seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?” Jesus’ words to Philip alone were fulfilling of the prophecy in Isaiah 9:6 that this child given to the world as a “son” was also the Mighty God and Everlasting Father. Jesus’ desire to minister to the suffering of fallen mankind was so great He was moved with compassion performing works only possible by God alone. It was these same works bringing Him into the place of questioning of the Jews of His perceived place in the Godhead that they said “How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.” Christ in the Greek, and Messiah in the Hebrew both have the same definition; the anointed one. Keep in mind, to be anointed means we are given a dispensation of time to perform a divine will. So, to say Jesus was anointed of the Father is to say the flesh has a dispensational purpose; meaning there would be a beginning of His sonship which happened at birth, and an end to His sonship which ended at the cross. The plurality of the Godhead as you have presented is a prevalent view by many since they see the flesh of Jesus as the Son of God, and the indwelling Spirit within Him as distinguishably separate and divine as Jehovah the Father. To the unregenerate the perception of Jesus as the Son of God, and Him being between them and the Father is true in the sense they have not yet been born again. It is the born again experience which takes the sinner from a place needing a sin offering of the flesh of Jesus Christ to make atonement for our sins, to a place this same Jesus becomes Lord of our lives. Was this not the words of Peter on the day of Pentecost after having received the gift of the Holy Ghost who said “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.” Peter’s proclamation of who Jesus is was not a proclamation of plurality of the Godhead distinguishing separately between Lordship and Sonship, but rather a plurality in purpose driven by relationship. Relationship in that as long as a person is a sinner, they see Jesus as the Son of God being Christ the anointed for a purpose of which is their sin sacrifice; however, to the born again, we see Jesus as Lord of our lives whereby we cry “Abba, Father.” Jesus is both Son and Lord at the same time; being Son to the sinner, and Lord to the redeemed. Again, this is not a plurality of persons, but rather a plurality of purpose. We affectionately refer to Jesus as the Lamb at times, and yet at other times we refer to Jesus as the Lion. It is impossible for Him to be both a Lamb and a Lion just as it is impossible for there to be a plurality of persons in the Godhead, unless the perception of who Jesus is driven by relationship. The plurality of purpose in relationship is this, Jesus is the Lamb to the sinner and Jesus is the Lion to the redeemed; not in the sense of two separate, but rather two simultaneously. So it is today, the world is filled with sinners knowing Jesus as the Lamb, while we as the Bride of Christ know Jesus as the Lion. This is how it is possible for Jesus to be the Son of God in the earth redeeming the lost unto Himself, as well as being Lord of all sitting in the throne of heaven where the Bride of Christ will sit and reign. This is only possible by the sonship of Christ ending at the cross and the Lordship of Christ existing throughout all eternity. Keep in mind, while Jesus the Christ walked the earth, and the Jews being vexed with the perception of who Jesus was claimed He spoke blasphemies since they perceived He was calling Himself not only Jesus the Christ, but also Jesus the Jehovah. This was manifest is Jesus’ word when He said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.” The same “I am” Moses spoke with on Mt. Sinai. Since we know it is impossible for flesh to preexist without birth, unless it is God incarnate for another purpose other than redemption as it was with Jesus Christ, Jesus was saying He existed before Abraham. This was only possible if the voice of the flesh of Jesus the CHRIST was professing He was Jesus the Jehovah. The perception of the plurality of Jesus Christ being separate from God Jehovah is a dangerous and damnable doctrine subverting the minds of sincere people. It was Jesus Himself who said in John 8:24 “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.” The word “he” is in italics meaning it was not in the original text, but was added by the translators in an effort on their part to bring what they thought was clarity. Reading it without the added word “he” it read, “…for if ye believe not that I am, ye shall die in your sins.” There it is, Jesus the Christ being the Son of God declared to be Jesus the Jehovah. Without this revelation of knowing who Jesus is in the singleness of existence, while being in the presence of plurality of purpose, one is destined to an eternal separation from God in a lake of fire. This was the very debate at the Roman Catholic Council of Nicene in 325 A.D. and again at the Council of Constantinople in 381 A.D. resulting in the formulation of a doctrinal decree separating Jesus from purpose to Jesus as persons in the Godhead, and named this doctrine the Trinity. We must never overlook I John 5:20 which states, “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. posted by Stephen Reed
