An insightful critique of the New York Times article anticipating the non-indictment of Mike Browns killer and the impact this would have on the town of Ferguson: The article shows no curiosity about how protesters--or, more generally, black residents of Ferguson--are feeling about the prospect of no indictment....The net effect of the Times article is to highlight fears of protesters as a source of violence, as a looming, largely anonymous threat, despite the nonviolent record of Ferguson activists in the face of constant intimidation and provocation over the last three months.
