An open letter to the Golden Globes: One of the most powerful movies I have ever viewed, that pulled threads of this countrys history, and the heights risen by human spirit was given an applause within the theatre at the end. GOLEN GLOBES, You are missing the faces on your Facebook of one of our countrys outstanding work in film. UNBROKEN. If this film has achieved excellence with the American public, and The Golden Globe cannot see the zenith of its merit, I cannot consider the merit of watching GoodenGlobes night without this exemplary film. The American public holds UNBROKEN as high as ravaged prisoner of war Louis dId in the coal yards when he was commanded by the Japanese Sergeant to lift a large beam threatening his life if he dropped it. GOLDEN GLOBES, what you dropped was the vision to see the genius stellar masterpiece that UNBROKEN is, from direction by Angelena Joli Pitt, to powerful acting by an entire cast led by Jack O’Connell, Domhnall Gleeson, Garrett Hedlund, Finn Wittrock, John Magaro, Alex Russell, Miyavi, and the transport to WWII. This movie is a stand out movie that mimics nothing we have ever seen. The juxtaposition of all the challenging aspects of this movie reached an utmost pinnacle of accomplishment. I began a spontaneous applause at the end that was inspired by the power of this film, and the rest of the audience followed. A Movies greatest reward is the love received by its anamoured audience. And a loud resounding BRAVO.
