An update for those people heading to Loon Lake for the family reunion. I was planning on doing an informal little thing with Dads ashes at the Lake this weekend, however - When I went to get Dad for the trip, when I looked where he should have been he wasnt there. I am not panicked. I saw him a couple of months ago when I was rearranging rooms. I clearly remember at that time putting him in a place where it would be impossible to forget Since the spot was impossible to forget, that can only mean one thing - he has run away. If anybody sees a small, plain white urn - and a voice may be coming from it saying hey buddy, I am spitting dust, could ya get me a drink? - that would be him. Call me immediately and I will pick him up - again :-) This means the informal gathering deal will be postponed until we are able to relocate Dad - it would be foolish to continue without him ;-) Also missing is that famous Loon Lake hat that Aunt Carol gave me about 22 years ago - either that prankster Dad took it with him or else it is also in a special cannot forget where place. On a good note, Dad as always will be with us in spirit and stories, as will Uncle Jim, Barry and Joanne - once a part of the Olson clan always part of the clan. So excited about the return of our great fishing derby - good luck everyone :-) Have to stop searching and get going - already 2.25 hours late - car is loaded and the Twins are anxious - cant wait to see everyone.
