An update on my streak dilemma below. I did decide to streak... And it lasted 4 days. By a crazy fluke that is painful and embarrassing in equal parts, I ended up taking a spill at the gym wherein all my weight and velocity went into the meeting of my back with the edge of a step. While the X-rays show no broken bones, the muscle contusions and tears at the point of impact make it barely feasible to walk, much less run. So I am in physical pain and SO bummed to lose another streak. I dont even know when I can run again. Its going to be a rough holiday season.
