And finally, Remember that prayer is always to be offered in submission to God’s will; that when we say, God hears prayer, we do not intend by that, that he always gives us literally what we ask for. We do mean, however, this, that he gives us what is best for us. If spirituality granted us our every wish, then it would become a job, duty and task to pray instead of a choice, decision and personal commitment. Asking for material advances or specific items leaves little opportunity for true growth. Requesting the strength, power, and personal integrity to pursue ones material goals leaves every door wide open.
