Feast your eyes upon the three new beds at the Hibberd Intermediate School!!! In the space behind these three beds will be a selection of playground equipment (in the works through RCS) for the Life Skills students and two raised beds that will allow disabled students to comfortably garden. The site of the beds were chosen strategically as they are located next to the Life Skills Suite for direct student accessibility. A grant through Youth As Resources was given to Hibberd, and accepted/approved by the Richmond Community School Board of Trustees recently. With that, the spear-head teacher in the initiative, Mrs. Taiuna Washington, and her team of students, were off!! Sprout of Control was happy to be able to donate some left over mulch/three year leaf mulch/top soil mix, which were all donated to us at some point by some other organization!! What an exciting project. Congrats to Hibberd, Mrs. Washington, and her students!! Job well done!
