Each action a reaction, each burning gaze a promise. Deep within my eyes, you see millions of miles. In the touch of my hand, feel the promise of an eternity of always. The pulse of forever. The breath giving life That I have been holding. I offer in my outstretched hand a red and wounded heart. Caged in wire Riddled with glass and jagged edges. Ive collected all of the pieces Ive taken them from cracks in the pavement From jars beneath my bed Ive taken them from bookshelves Stacked inside my head. Ive collected them and reshaped in the best way that I could. They belong to you now Please keep them whole if you can. Im not sure I could find them again. Not even if I ran. So here I am, heres all of me. I hope that its enough. There will be times that I am shaken and keeping me whole inside will be tough. I know that you love me I know that I love you There will be storms and sunny days There will be hurricanes and rain There will be nights of heaven With no memories of pain. There will be moments of joy Like fireflies in jars. There will be times we fly so high across the sky like shooting stars. All I have to offer is myself at your side All I can tell you is that with me youll never have to hide. I know you like I know myself To me you are an open book.
