And it does go on, especially in NC, I am so ashamed of this state I live in. They put 20 or so dogs in a room and gas them; it is a painful, slow, horrid death. Their eyes sting and noses hurt as theyre forced to breathe poison. When the humans who could do this are finished, the dogs are thrown into a pile, like trash, some still living. They shouldnt be dying at all, much less like this. I had thought this was outlawed but I guess theyre still doing it and will until theyre stopped! Most states have stopped this. Dogs arent stupid, they sense things we cannot and when they enter a kill shelter, they KNOW they could die any time. Thats why every single one is grateful if someone takes them out, they know you have saved them. Dogs arent throw away; theyre living, breathing, loving beings, each with their own special personality (just like people!) and a soul. They want to live as much as you do but they have no voice and no defense against cruelty and murder. WE must be their voices!!
